Press Release Author: Lindsay Hill

Industry: Construction

Press Release Summary: Panther help complete important maintenance work at Wroughton
Airfield using their Niftylift.

Press Release Body: Panther Platform Rentals, one of the fastest growing companies
in the access industry, have just helped complete important maintenance work at
Wroughton Airfield near Swindon, Wiltshire. Following a thorough site inspection,
the Niftylift manufactured Height Rider 21 boom, was supplied for the job. The
machine is one of over 20 brand new HR21 booms that have become part of Panther's
ongoing investment since their successful acquisition by Lavendon Group PLC.

Given the uneven ground and fencing surrounding the air hanger, now a science
museum, the HR21 was the obvious machine to carry out the work; it is a 4 wheel
drive rough terrain (45% gradeability) platform with exceptional outreach. As well
as the required "up and over " access to awkward parts of the structure as seen in
the image below, the versatile HR21 can also be used to work below ground level, and
with a 225kg platform capacity, offers plenty of room for operatives, equipment and
tools.

The HR21 provides a working height of 21.20 metres and an impressive working
outreach of 13.20 metres, and with a turning circle of just 4 metres, it is also a
very manoeuvrable piece of equipment.

Panther Platform Rentals' Managing Director Richard Miller commented: "We are very
pleased with our recent additions to Panthers fleet, and I am particularly impressed
with the HR21's safety features. Automatic failsafe brakes, emergency descent
system, lock valves on all hydraulic cylinders, dual harness points, the list goes
on; all points which only add to the usability of this versatile and popular
machine".
